Quantity Surveyor

Recsure Personnel are currently looking to recruit a quantity surveyor for their client based in the Oswestry area.

Salary negotiable dependant on experience

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost control and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. Your expertise in quantity surveying will contribute to the successful execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct cost estimates and prepare tender documents
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine accurate quantities of materials required
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost planning
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and identify any potential cost overruns
- Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates on project financials
- Evaluate contractor claims and negotiate settlements
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations related to quantity surveying

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and quantity surveying principles
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
