Description:
Our client is a reputable multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with three offices across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Sheffield. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including leisure, commercial, and retail.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and analysing project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Conducting comprehensive cost control, monitoring, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Performing accurate valuations of work in progress, variations, and final accounts, while ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
Overseeing procurement and tendering activities, including assessing contractor and supplier bids.
Managing project financial records, variations, and claims.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
Sound knowledge of cost management principles, tendering, and procurement practices.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. Excel, BIM, CostX, Autocad).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
