I'm currently working with a highly respected and growing construction consultancy in Bristol that is looking to appoint either a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its expanding cost management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS to join a consultancy with a strong reputation in the residential and affordable housing sector, delivering projects for housing associations, local authorities, and private developers across the South West and beyond.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive quantity surveying and cost management services across a range of residential developments from inception through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing cost plans and estimates at all project stages
Managing procurement processes and tender evaluations
Producing contract documentation
Cost reporting and financial management throughout project delivery
Assessing variations and change control
Valuing completed works and managing payments
Supporting clients with budget management and commercial advice
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Working collaboratively with project managers, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders Ideally, you will have:
Experience working within a consultancy environment
Previous involvement in residential, housing, affordable housing or mixed-use developments
A strong understanding of cost management and contract administration
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive and client-focused approach
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS status or progression towards chartership would be advantageous but is not essential
On offer is a salary up to £60k at QS level (£60-70k for a Senior QS) plus a full benefits package and bonus
