Location: Gatwick Airport
Salary: £65,000 per annum + Company Car/Car Allowance + Bonus & Benefits
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Site-Based
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing contractor delivering a diverse range of electrical and multi-disciplinary projects within Gatwick Airport.
Working within a live, safety-critical environment, you'll play a key role in the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance and commercial performance across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial aspects of projects from tender handover through to final account.
* Prepare and manage applications for payment, valuations, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
* Provide commercial support to project teams, including cost forecasting, contract administration and risk management.
* Monitor project performance against budgets, programme and contractual requirements.
* Produce accurate commercial reports including cost value reconciliations, cash flow forecasts and margin analysis.
* Review and manage subcontractor quotations, orders, applications, variations and final accounts.
* Support procurement activities, including subcontractor tendering, negotiation and appointment.
* Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Operational staff to ensure successful project delivery.
* Assist with tender reviews, pricing support and commercial input into bids where required.
* Identify commercial risks and opportunities across live projects.
* Ensure contractual records and notices are maintained accurately.
* Attend client and commercial meetings as required.
* Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where appropriate.
About You
We're looking for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor with experience working within construction, infrastructure, M&E or electrical contracting.
You will have:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure, M&E or multi-disciplinary projects.
* Strong knowledge of project commercial management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
* Experience working with NEC, JCT or similar forms of contract.
* Excellent cost control, forecasting and reporting skills.
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
* The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive and collaborative approach.
