Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | Healthcare Projects
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor specialising in healthcare projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable across both quantity surveying and estimating and is looking to play an integral role within a growing business.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the wider commercial and operational teams, taking responsibility for the financial and commercial management of projects from tender through to completion.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently, have strong commercial awareness and be comfortable taking ownership of their workload.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects
* Preparing and reviewing tenders, estimates and quotations
* Cost planning and budget management
* Subcontractor procurement and management
* Valuations, variations and payment applications
* Cost reporting and forecasting
* Supporting the successful delivery of healthcare projects
* Working closely with project and senior management teams
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of both surveying and estimating.
You will be:
* Confident and commercially aware
* Comfortable managing projects from tender through to completion
* Experienced in estimating and cost management
* Able to work independently and make informed commercial decisions
* A strong communicator with good negotiation skills
* Keen to take an integral role within an established business
