Quantity Surveyor

An excellent, brand new full time, permanent position available for a Quantity Surveyor, office based in Havant. This is an opportunity to join forces with an expert in construction for heritage and contemporary restoration and renovation projects across Hampshire/West Sussex border.

As a Quantity Surveyor with our client, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference to their growing business. They are looking out for people who are passionate about their profession who are eager to make a positive impact to an expanding business.

Quantity Surveyor Duties:
- Compile and evaluate project cost estimates.
- Producing/analysing plans, bills of quantities.
- Assessing contractor and supplier proposals.
- Manage risks, maintain value, and keep costs under control while building.
- Provide guidance on a procurement plan.
- Overseeing project valuations for customers and making sure that a precise and reasonable cash flow is obtained.
- Handling of applications for subcontracts,
- Creating CVRs in order to offer precise project cost data, project planning, and precise project financial management.
- Final accounting are prepared and sent to clients and subcontractors for projects.
- Helping to create procedures for purchasing, cash flow management, and project financial reporting.

Quantity Surveyor Criteria:
- A degree or background in commercial administration or quantity surveying
- Prior experience in a related position
- Experience in Estimating
- Skills in negotiating
- Thorough understanding of building and construction technology, materials, procedures, and business and legal issues.
- Communication abilities, both written and verbal, including the capacity to provide reports that are clear and concise.
- Analytical reasoning abilities
