Quantity Surveyor

Description:

An established and progressive Building Contractor based in Dungannon area is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.

Offering hybrid working (up to 1 days per week from home), this is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of NI based construction projects while developing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Working closely with an experienced Commercial Manager, you will take commercial responsibility for 1-2 projects at a time, gaining exposure to both pre-construction and project delivery stages.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Managing project costs across a variety of new-build developments and structures

* Undertaking cost planning, forecasting, and cost analysis

* Advising on procurement and commercial strategies

* Participating in design team meetings and providing buildability input

* Supporting feasibility studies and helping define client requirements

* Identifying and managing project risks while delivering value-engineering solutions

* Monitoring project budgets and implementing effective cost-control measures

* Providing commercial and contractual advice, including the assessment of claims

About You

The successful candidate will have:

* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

* A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role ideally contracting

* Experience working on construction projects valued in excess of £2 million

* Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
