About the Company: Our client is a leading firm involved in the design, manufacture, and installation of modular units. They support local authorities, developers, and architects on a range of projects, from standalone units like classrooms and pavilions to multi-unit housing developments.
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. This hybrid role offers flexibility with an average of four days per month in the office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing contracts and supplier agreements to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyse contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assess supplier agreements to negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
Monitor and control project costs to ensure budget adherence.
Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts.
Collaborate with project managers and design teams to align cost control measures with project objectives.
Conduct site visits as necessary to assess project progress and resolve any cost-related issues.
Requirements
Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the construction or modular building industry.
Strong knowledge of contract law and construction contracts.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full right to work in the UK.
