Quantity Surveyor - Industrial Project - Leicestershire

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major industrial development project in Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile industrial scheme and contribute to the successful delivery of a complex project within a collaborative and professional environment.

The successful candidate will have experience delivering industrial, logistics, manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects and will support the commercial management of the project from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Support the commercial and contractual management of a large industrial construction project from procurement through to completion and final account.
Assist in preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
Prepare and support monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and commercial reporting.
Procure subcontract packages including issuing enquiries, tender analysis, and recommendation reports.
Manage subcontractor valuations, payments, variations, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with change management and maintain accurate records of variations and commercial impacts.
Work closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
Support the Commercial Manager and wider team in maintaining contractual compliance and protecting the company's commercial position.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company procedures and industry best practice.

Candidate Requirements

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
Industrial project experience is essential, ideally involving logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution facilities.
Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects.
Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
Good commercial awareness and contractual understanding.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a project team and manage stakeholder relationships.
Membership of RICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
