Description:

Quantity Surveyor

Location Bristol

Sector Regional Construction & Refurbishment

Salary £55,000 - £65,000 + Package

The Opportunity

A respected regional contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Bristol commercial team. You will work across a varied portfolio of refurbishment and new-build projects, giving you genuine exposure to different sectors, procurement routes and project stages.

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially astute QS who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working closely with operational teams rather than being buried within a large corporate structure. You will have the autonomy to manage schemes from procurement through to final account while being supported by an experienced commercial leadership team.

Role Overview

You will take responsibility for the commercial performance of your projects, producing CVRs, forecasts and accurate cost reports while keeping a close eye on cash flow, risk and margin. You will lead subcontractor procurement, negotiate packages and manage accounts throughout delivery, ensuring commercial decisions support both the programme and the overall project outcome.

You will manage applications, valuations, variations and change control, working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to understand progress and identify issues early. Final accounts will form an important part of your role, alongside maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.

About You

You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor background and a solid understanding of refurbishment and general build projects. You are confident with CVRs, forecasting, procurement, variations, final accounts and cost control, and you understand how to balance commercial performance with maintaining productive relationships on site.

You are organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing your own workload. A Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent qualification would be preferred, together with a full UK driving licence.

Company Profile

This established regional contractor delivers refurbishment and new-build projects across Bristol and the wider South West. The business has built its reputation through quality delivery, repeat clients and a collaborative approach, offering employees the opportunity to work closely with senior management while progressing within a stable regional business.

What’s in it for you?

* ???? £55,000 - £65,000 salary

* ???? Car allowance / package

* ????️ Varied refurbishment and new-build projects

* ???? Genuine career progression

* ???? Supportive regional commercial team

* ???? Holiday and benefits package
