* Manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, negotiations and appointments.

* Prepare, submit and agree interim valuations and applications for payment.

* Monitor project expenditure, committed costs and overall profitability.

* Identify, price and negotiate variations and change orders.

* Assess subcontractor applications for payment and manage associated commercial queries.

* Prepare regular cost reports and provide updates on financial performance.

* Manage client and subcontractor final accounts.

* Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.

* Support value engineering and cost-control initiatives.

* Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Estimators and the wider delivery team.

* Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are followed.

* Maintain accurate records of costs, procurement commitments and commercial correspondence.

* Attend project meetings and contribute to successful commercial and operational delivery.

Candidate Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

* Background in commercial fit-out, retail construction, shopfitting, refurbishment or main contracting.

* Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and commercial management.

* Experience with valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.

* Excellent negotiation, numerical and analytical skills.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.

* Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial software.

* A degree, HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification would be advantageous.

* RICS membership or progress towards chartership would be beneficial.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

* Supportive working environment and long-term career development.
