MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our clients Asset & Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to play a key role in the commercial management and delivery of planned investment and construction projects across a substantial housing portfolio.

Salary: £52,621
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day quantity surveying function, ensuring robust financial control, effective contract administration, and value-for-money delivery while contributing to the organisation's wider strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day quantity surveying and contract administration functions across planned investment and asset projects.
*
Prepare, review, and administer contracts, valuations, variations, certifications, and final accounts.
*
Support procurement and tendering activities, including preparation of tender documentation and pricing schedules.
*
Monitor contract performance, project completions, cashflow, budgets, and commercial outcomes.
*
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project progress and commercial performance.
*
Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and operational risks.
*
Attend and represent the client at pre-start, progress, partnership, and commercial review meetings.
*
Support the ongoing development and integration of commercial and asset management systems.
*
Contribute to service improvements, efficiencies, and social value initiatives across the business.
Essential Requirements
*
Chartered status, degree qualification, or significant relevant experience within Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
*
Strong track record of delivering quantity surveying services within the construction sector.
*
Experience of procurement, project management, contract administration, and budget management.
*
Ability to analyse complex commercial and financial data and provide clear recommendations.
*
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
Desirable Experience
*
Previous experience working as a Client-Side Quantity Surveyor.
*
Knowledge of the housing sector and planned investment programmes.
*
Understanding of current and emerging regulatory requirements within the housing and construction sectors.
*
Knowledge of the Construction Act and associated legislation.
