Quantity Surveyor

Location: North Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 plus 26 days per annum plus bank holidays, increasing with service, private healthcare + enhanced pension

The Opportunity

Due to continued company growth and progression, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a growing, modern business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, with excellent opportunities for progression and the chance to play an important role within a fast-paced commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and managing monthly CVR reporting.
Preparing and issuing subcontract orders.
Preparing and issuing Early Warnings and Compensation Events to clients.
Supporting the Commercial Team to ensure compliance with systems, processes and contractual procedures.
Working to strict deadlines required under various contracts.
Financial monitoring and reporting of assigned contracts.
Assisting with the establishment and management of suitable construction contracts with clients to meet procurement requirements.
Ensuring the correct administration of contract requirements, including managing variations and changes to works.
Maintaining contemporary records to support claims, extensions of time and evaluation of variations.
Managing the appointment and ongoing commercial management of subcontractors, including payment applications and final accounts.
Ensuring prompt submission of invoices and/or applications for payment to clients.
About You

HNC or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying – beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience working within a Quantity Surveying / Commercial environment.
Experience working with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
Experience with target cost, fixed price and/or cost-reimbursable contract mechanisms.
Water industry experience – highly desirable but not essential.
Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills.
A full UK driving licence.
The ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
