Are you an ambitious Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in residential construction, looking to take the next step in your career

We're working with an award-winning house builder with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team on a major, large-scale RC Frame residential development in Coventry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established developer offering long-term stability, exciting projects and, most importantly, a genuine opportunity to progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor within the next 18 months.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a significant residential scheme, working closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and package negotiations.

Overseeing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.

Preparing cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates.

Managing variations, change control and commercial risk.

Monitoring project budgets and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability.

Working closely with site management, technical and construction teams.

Supporting the commercial delivery of a complex, large-scale RC Frame development.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential sector is essential.

Experience working for a house builder, residential developer or main contractor delivering large residential schemes.

RC Frame or high-rise residential experience would be advantageous.

Strong commercial awareness and subcontractor management skills.

Confidence managing packages and taking ownership of commercial responsibilities.

Ambition to develop into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.

What's on Offer

£60,000 – £65,000 basic salary.

Car Allowance.

Competitive benefits package.

Clear progression to Senior Quantity Surveyor within 18 months.

Opportunity to work on a landmark, large-scale residential development.

Join an award-winning developer with a strong pipeline of future projects.

Supportive commercial leadership and genuine opportunities for career development.

Why Consider This Opportunity

This isn't simply another Quantity Surveyor vacancy.

It's an opportunity to join a highly regarded residential developer, gain exposure to a substantial RC Frame scheme and position yourself for the next stage of your career.

If you're a residential Quantity Surveyor earning around £55,000–£60,000 and feel ready for more responsibility, better earning potential and a defined route to Senior QS, this opportunity is well worth exploring.
