Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Location: London Docklands
Duration: Freelance / Contract
Project: Major Data Centre Development
We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a cladding subcontractor on a large-scale data centre project in London Docklands.
This is a great opportunity for a QS with a strong subcontracting background, ideally with experience in cladding or façade packages, to support the commercial delivery of a major project.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing the commercial aspects of the cladding subcontract package.
*
Cost control, valuations and variations.
*
Preparing and submitting interim applications for payment.
*
Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
*
Reviewing costs against budget and identifying potential commercial risks.
*
Supporting final accounts and resolving any commercial issues.
*
Working closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure the package is delivered within budget.
Requirements:
*
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
*
Experience managing subcontract packages, ideally cladding or façade.
*
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
*
Experience with valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
*
Able to work independently and hit the ground running on a live project.
