I’m currently recruting for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a family-owned civil engineering company in South Wales on a permanent contract.
Our client delivers service excellence, efficiency and compliance across the Construction and Waste sector specialising in the following sectors:
* Groundworks
* Waste Management
* Construction
* Demolition
* Transport & Plant hire
They are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
* 3-5 years civils and groundworks experience
* Ideally degree qualified or relevant HNC
* Ideally resides locally to the area
* NEC experience
* Full UK driver’s license
Responsibilities:
* Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, considering materials, labor, and equipment.
* Procurement: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
* Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
* Contract Management: Review and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to costs, contracts, and project delivery.
* Quantity Measurement: Measure and assess quantities of materials required for projects.
* Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to optimize project profitability.
* Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project finances, including cost forecasts and variances.
* Liaison: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
