Quantity Surveyor – Intermediate / Senior
Location: Manchester / UK Projects
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist business delivering technically complex cleanroom and controlled-environment projects across the UK and wider markets.
This role would suit an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally with an MEP / building services background. However, candidates from other construction or specialist contracting sectors with strong commercial experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
* Prepare and manage cost reports, forecasts, valuations and cash flow.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments.
* Manage variations, change control, applications and final accounts.
* Monitor project costs, margins and commercial performance.
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
* Work closely with Project Managers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
* Support the successful commercial delivery of multiple projects.
About You
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, at Intermediate or Senior level.
* Ideally an MEP, mechanical, electrical or building services background.
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
* Experience working within a contracting environment.
* Good understanding of procurement, valuations, variations and cost control.
* Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
JCT contract experience is desirable.
Cleanroom, pharmaceutical, healthcare, MEP, specialist contracting or other technically complex project experience would be advantageous, but sector experience is not essential for the right commercial candidate.
