Your new companyA well-established, family-owned fit-out and partitioning contractor based in Glasgow is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team. With a strong reputation across the Scottish market, this business delivers high-quality interior fit-out and partitioning projects across a range of sectors, with values typically up to £5 million.
Your new role
This is a varied and hands-on position, offering a blend of both Quantity Surveying and Estimating responsibilities. You will work closely with the Director, supporting across the full project lifecycle-from tender stage through to final account. The role provides excellent exposure to both commercial management and pre-construction activities within a supportive and collaborative environment.Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and submitting competitive tenders and cost estimates
Assisting in the commercial management of live projects
Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Supporting project delivery to ensure cost efficiency and profitability
Working closely with senior leadership on strategic and operational mattersWhat you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating role, ideally within fit-out, interiors, or partitions
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across both pre- and post-contract stages
Excellent communication and organisational skills
