Description:

Quantity Surveyor – Property Services

Location: Kent

Sector: Social Housing | Planned Works | Refurbishment | Façades

The Opportunity

I'm looking to speak with Quantity Surveyors across Kent who have experience in property services, refurbishment, social housing or specialist external works.

I'm working with established businesses delivering residential improvement and refurbishment programmes, and I'm keen to connect with commercial professionals who understand the challenges of managing costs, procurement and contract performance across live projects.

Whether your background is in main contracting, specialist subcontracting or social housing maintenance, I'd be interested in hearing about your experience and what you'd consider for your next move.

The Role

Depending on your experience, opportunities may involve managing individual projects or taking commercial responsibility across multiple schemes.

Typical responsibilities include:

Managing project budgets, cost control and commercial reporting.

Preparing CVRs, forecasts and financial updates.

Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.

Overseeing valuations, applications for payment and client negotiations.

Monitoring project profitability and identifying commercial risks.

Working alongside project managers, site teams and senior commercial colleagues.

Supporting the successful delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes.

Relevant project experience may include kitchens and bathrooms, roofing, windows and doors, external wall works, façade and cladding remediation, fire safety works and wider residential refurbishment.

About You

I'm particularly interested in speaking with Quantity Surveyors who have:

Experience within social housing, property services or refurbishment.

A background in façade, cladding, external envelopes or specialist subcontracting.

Experience with planned maintenance or residential improvement programmes.

Strong commercial, procurement and contractual knowledge.

The ability to manage subcontractors, costs and client relationships.

A desire to progress within a commercially focused business.

Candidates at different stages of their commercial careers are welcome to get in touch, provided they have relevant experience.

If you're based in Kent or within commuting distance and have a Quantity Surveying background in construction or property services, I'd be keen to speak with you.

Confidential conversations welcome
