Quantity Surveyor

Description:

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in general civils, industrial buildings, public realm works, city centre developments, and streetworks? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our esteemed client on a freelance basis, with an option to go permanent, based in Barnsley.

Key Responsibilities:

·Manage all aspects of quantity surveying for diverse construction projects
·Prepare cost estimates and budgets
·Conduct risk analysis and value engineering
·Oversee procurement processes and contract administration
·Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
·Liaise with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders

Requirements:

·Proven experience in quantity surveying for general civils, industrial buildings, public realm works, city centre developments, and streetworks
·Strong understanding of construction and maintenance processes
·Excellent analytical and numerical skills
·Proficient in relevant software and tools
·Strong communication and negotiation abilities
·Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
·Hard-working and proactive, enjoys being actively involved in projects
