Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – Newport
Permanent Position | Salary Negotiable
Pro Staff Construction is working with a growing construction contractor that is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator based in Newport.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business, working across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, including works for local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing cost estimates and tender submissions
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
* Pricing works and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
* Obtaining and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
* Assisting with procurement and commercial management of projects
* Monitoring project costs and supporting financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
* Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating role within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of tendering, pricing, and cost management
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail
