Description:

Booth Welsh are looking to hire a QS for work in Ayrshire, long term contracting.

4 days on site and 1 day at home.

Good rates

1 year + contract.

Writing and controlling NEC4 contracts along with Project Managers
Provide and control strategy of commercial contacts with client’s representatives
Commercial management of subcontractors including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving disputed issues by negotiation
Monitor the timely production of reliable cost performance data and initiate discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy
Produce and present monthly / quarterly reports
Be responsible for change management including ensuring adherence to the programme
Attend and provide input to all site commercial meetings. Providing commercial advice to the site team, and management on all contractual issues
Working on contracts from 100K up to 15m
Have excellent communication skills
Be driven and self-motivated
Proficient with NEC forms of Contract
Have knowledge of other forms of Contract
Experience in producing internal and external reports
Degree in Quantity Surveying (would look at work experience in place of degree)
Understanding of contract law
