THE COMPANY
One of Kent’s leading Property Consultancies is actively recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their established Ashford office.
My client is a well-respected Consultancy with a strong presence across the South East and an excellent reputation within the Property sector. They are currently delivering a diverse range of projects across Ashford, Kent, and the wider region, working with both Public and Private sector clients. Schemes include residential developments, mixed-use projects, commercial refurbishments, education facilities, and industrial developments. Project values typically range from £1 million up to £100 million.
THE POSITION
They are actively looking to recruit an individual at Quantity Surveyor level to support the delivery of Property sector projects from inception through to completion. The successful Quantity Surveyor will work closely with senior team members and assist in managing projects across a varied portfolio throughout Kent and the South East.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of Quantity Surveying duties including cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration, and final accounts under JCT forms of contract. Project values typically range from £1 million up to £50 million.
The successful candidate will support client relationships, assist in project delivery, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Ashford office.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful Quantity Surveyor must:
Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and ideally be chartered or working towards chartered status with the RICS
Have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a Consultancy / PQS environment
Have experience delivering projects within the Property / Building sectors
Possess strong knowledge and experience administering JCT contracts
Open to a range of sector experience
Possess strong communication and client-facing skills
Demonstrate the ability to support the management of projects from inception through to completion
