Position: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: >£60k DOE
Location: West Yorkshire
TSR are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with a well-established fire safety company based in West Yorkshire. The Quantity Surveyor will be working alongside a small team of Quantity Surveyors and reporting to the Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:
* Accounts management / credit control – facilitate the collection of retention.
* Identify commercial risks and help develop suitable responses.
* Analyse project progress.
* Liaise between site managers, project managers, site engineers and the client.
* Communication with clients and external parties.
* Provide project focused support to Commercial Manager, Managing Director and other members of senior management.
* Meeting coordination and management of company calendar.
* Production of documents, reports and briefings for clients and internal senior management.
Desired experience and Attributes for the Quantity Surveyor:
* Previous experience within construction management and/or M&E
* High level of contract understanding and commercial awareness.
* Ability to clearly and professionally negotiate contract matters to reach the desired outcome.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* IT proficient in Microsoft Office
* Proactive, confident and able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team.
