Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor based in Birmingham, you will support the commercial delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across a long-term local authority framework, working alongside experienced Senior and Project Quantity Surveyors.
Supporting the commercial management of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects from procurement through to final account across Birmingham.
Preparing valuations, applications for payment, variations, cost reports and assisting with monthly CVRs.
Procuring subcontractors and supporting the management of subcontract accounts and commercial performance.
Working closely with operational teams, clients and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest commercial standards.
Developing your commercial knowledge while progressing within a supportive team on one of the UK's largest social housing contracts.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step within planned maintenance, social housing, refurbishment, main contracting or general construction.
Good understanding of valuations, subcontract procurement, cost reporting, variations and commercial administration.
Strong commercial awareness with a willingness to learn and develop under experienced commercial professionals.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across Birmingham and surrounding areas.
