Fixed Term Contract (3 months, with possibility of extension)

Salary: £18.00-£19.50 per hour (40 hour week)

Join Z-Tech's as a Manufacturing Quality Technician for our Siemens Energy contract based in Lincoln. As a pivotal member of the Manufacturing Engineers Team, you'll play a crucial role in minimising Non-Conformance Costs (NCC) and fostering a culture of quality ownership by promptly reporting and addressing issues.

The ideal candidate will champion quality awareness through their dedication to ensuring the highest standards in component manufacturing. Working within the Manufacturing Engineering Department, you'll serve as the primary contact for shop floor quality concerns in your designated areas. Your responsibilities will include identifying and rectifying quality issues in manufacturing processes, managing quality control documentation, and conducting component inspections.

Exceptional communication skills are a must as you'll collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including management, engineering teams, and production staff. Additionally, you'll take a proactive approach to problem-solving, participating in investigations and offering support to suppliers when necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Verify the dimensional accuracy of components and review process documentation to ensure clarity and effectiveness.
Ensure that production plans contain comprehensive quality-related information.
Investigate root causes of discrepancies in component inspections and develop preventive measures to maintain process integrity.
Monitor process capability and collaborate with validation and manufacturing teams to maintain quality standards.
Support first article inspections, key feature measurements, supplier surveillance, and other quality-related tasks as needed.
Conduct random sample inspections based on process knowledge and experience.
Act as the focal point for quality issues in your designated work area, coordinating with Quality Management and production teams to prioritize tasks and meet customer expectations.
Attend regular meetings to stay informed about production schedules and priorities.What’s required?

Proficiency in process and statistical control, customer service, SAP, interpersonal communication, and process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection, team leadership, or machine operation roles, with a strong understanding of Quality Control and inspection techniques.
Completion of a time-served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 in engineering, or equivalent qualification.Why Choose Z-Tech?
