Quality Assurance Technician – Food Manufacturing - Temp to Perm
Location: Buckingham
Pay Rate: £14.42 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Aspired Talent is recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join a busy food manufacturing operation in Buckingham.
The successful candidate will support the production team in maintaining high standards of product safety, quality, legality and authenticity. This is a hands-on role involving factory-floor quality checks, auditing, testing and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Test finished products on the factory floor and before dispatch.
Ensure all Critical Control Point (CCP) checks are completed and recorded accurately.
Conduct production packing, label reconciliation and temperature checks.
Record analytical results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Report non-conformances and maintain the site failure log.
Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
Report supplier non-conformances.
Complete daily equipment calibration checks.
Conduct GMP, hygiene, glass and plastic audits.
Carry out hygiene swabbing in accordance with the site schedule.
Record microbiological samples and assist with data trending.
Maintain Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformity and delivery documentation.
Use SAP to enter batch data, retrieve customer certificates and release or block stock.
Support customer and third-party audits.
Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Customer Service, R&D and the wider Quality team.
Assist with additional technical and quality matters when required.
Candidate Requirements
Previous quality assurance experience within the food manufacturing industry.
HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety qualifications are highly desirable.
Good understanding of CCPs, GMP, food hygiene and quality procedures.
Experience investigating non-conformances and completing root-cause analysis.
Strong written, verbal and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Previous experience using SAP would be advantageous.
Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work collaboratively with production and wider site teams.
