Overview
EMBS Talent is working in partnership with a global manufacturer known for producing high-precision, detailed components across a range of machining processes, supplying primarily into the aerospace sector.
As part of continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Quality Technician on a permanent basis, joining a well-established quality function at their Ruddington site.

Responsibilities
As a Quality Technician, you will take ownership of customer documentation, calibration processes, and quality system compliance, supporting continuous improvement across the site. You will:
* Create, complete, and upload customer documentation packets (AS9102, PPAP, certifications, physical property reports) via customer portals and internal software
* Interpret customer and GTC drawings and specifications to identify key inspection characteristics
* Track in-process issues and performance metrics to drive trend analysis and continuous improvement
* Maintain electronic data systems (SAP, QDS, MES, Gage Pack, Net Inspect) to support accurate records and QMS documentation
* Support internal QMS activities, verifying customer prints, purchase orders, and quality clauses to ensure documentation compliance, carrying out DQR/DSQR duties as required
* Lead calibration processes, including scheduling, internal calibrations, out-of-tolerance troubleshooting, and certification upkeep
* Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives through data collection, analysis, and process documentation updates
* Assist with customer audits and product substantiation reviews onsite
* Deliver internal training on quality assurance processes and procedures
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
* 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing (ISO/AS QMS), with HS Diploma required (Associate degree or above preferred)
* Hands-on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection, engineering drawings, specifications, and standard measurement tools
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
* Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead tactical plans, coach teams, and adapt to shifting priorities
* Desirable: ASQ certification, Lean Six Sigma familiarity, and exposure to GD&T, CMM, optical inspection, or NDT
