Description:

Our client is looking for a Quality Technician to join their manufacturing team. This is a highly active, site-based role that will involve regularly moving between manufacturing departments, inspecting products, identifying quality issues and working with teams to resolve them.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet approved specifications and quality standards across a range of manufacturing areas, including Extrusion, Butt Fusion, Fittings and Assembly. A typical day will involve roaming across the manufacturing site, carrying out quality checks, sampling products, checking labels and speaking directly with operators and supervisors.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out quality audits across multiple manufacturing departments against approved specifications and quality requirements.
* Completing departmental audit checklists and accurately recording findings.
* Sampling and inspecting products, labels and packaging.
* Using hand-held measuring equipment to check product dimensions and conformity.
* Identifying, assessing and classifying non-conformances using the approved traffic-light system.
* Clearly communicating quality issues to the relevant manufacturing teams.
* Recording non-conformances and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.
* Monitoring outstanding corrective actions and following up with departments to ensure issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
* Supporting quality investigations by gathering evidence, carrying out checks and contributing to root-cause analysis.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with quality control and will be comfortable working independently while also building strong relationships with colleagues across the site. Our client is looking for the
* Experience using Verniers, micrometres or other hand-held measuring equipment.
* Experience within plastics manufacturing.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a varied and hands-on Quality role rather than being desk-based. With the majority of the working day spent out across the manufacturing environment.
Hours Monday-Friday. 38.5 hours
