The Role

As Quality Team Leader, you'll lead a small but dedicated Quality team within a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring products consistently meet the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Production, Engineering and Operations, you'll champion quality throughout the manufacturing process, drive continuous improvement initiatives, investigate quality issues and help shape the future of the quality function.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time both on the shop floor and supporting strategic quality improvements, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing Quality team
Promote a culture where quality is embedded throughout manufacturing operations
Coordinate quality inspections, testing activities and internal audits
Investigate customer complaints, quality issues and non-conformances using structured root cause analysis
Implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce defects and improve performance
Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering and Operations to improve manufacturing processes
Analyse quality KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems and company procedures
Support supplier quality activities and incoming goods inspections
Deliver quality training and coaching across operational teams
Drive initiatives to reduce waste, rework and manufacturing defects
Maintain accurate quality documentation, reports and audit records

About You

You'll be an experienced Quality professional with a proactive approach, strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high manufacturing standards.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Quality Team Leader, Quality Engineer, Quality Supervisor, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Controller, or similar manufacturing quality role
Experience leading or supervising teams within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to read engineering drawings and confidently use inspection and measuring equipment
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
Experience working closely with Production, Engineering and Operations teams
