Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Dundee, Scotland
Join our dynamic Product Quality Assurance Team as a Product Quality Assurance Officer. In this crucial role, you will be primarily responsible for auditing manufacturing batch records, inspecting materials, and approving products. Your work will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.
This role will be working on a 12 month temporary continuous basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct compliance audits of manufacturing records, including rare reagents, buffers, bulk formulation, dispensing, and kit pack.
* Audit QC test records for compliance.
* Inspect materials against specifications, including sub-assemblies, intermediates, and finished kits.
* Manage material control within the ERP system, including approval, rejection, rework, and quarantine.
* Approve quarantine removal and rework operations.
* Perform archiving activities for Device History Records according to record retention policies.
* Participate in Tier Review Meetings within the Management Operating System to facilitate material flow through the factory.
* Ensure personal workload is completed to a high standard in accordance with site policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and general housekeeping duties.
* Engage in continuous professional development and participate in site training initiatives.
* Perform other duties as requested by the Line or Department Manager.
Qualifications and Skills required:
* SQA Qualification at Nat 5 level or equivalent in Maths, English, and a science subject and/or
* Relevant experience within a regulated industry
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent timekeeping and organizational skills
* Good communication skills, both written and spoken
* Ability to work flexibly and as part of a small team
* Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) preferred
* Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) preferred
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
