About the Quality Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to take ownership for overseeing the day-to-day management of quality and food safety in the factory, ensuring compliance with the food safety, BRC, legal, and customer requirements.
Key tasks
* Promote a proactive Food Safety Culture and actively share best practices whilst coaching teams on quality and food safety standards to ensure full understanding and accurate implementation.
* Drive quality improvement through effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action, leading projects, and implementing Food Safety Initiatives.
* Develop, implement, and maintain procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders (SOPs, quality checks, GMP, quality and food safety documentation).
* Lead on BRC audits and oversee the internal audit program including addressing non-conformance issues with effective corrective actions and closure as well as handling of quality issues and complaints, implementing corrective actions whilst keeping key stakeholder informed.
* Responsible for site HACCP, ensuring appropriate reviews and training as HACCP team leader and ensuring factory hygiene standards are met including managing the pest control program.
* Manage a small team (4 reports) Quality and Specifications team.
* Ensure the timely completion of SAQ’s and specification requests.
* Represent the quality department ensuring information flow between central and local departments.
About You
The successful candidate shall have a related food science degree 3yrs minimum food industry quality management experience as well as an BRC auditing background and HACCP Level 4.
* An excellent communicator at all levels, verbally and written.
* A keen eye for attention to detail.
* Manages own work load and contributes to team tasks.

The Quality Manager job is based in Cheshire and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to your experience.
The package includes a discretionary bonus, 33 days annual leave, flexible working and an employee discount scheme.
The working hours are Monday - Friday / Office Hours.
