The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality function within a manufacturing environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, leading the Quality Team and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
Essential background needed for this Quality Manager role
* Experience in a Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.
* Previous people management experience.
* Experience applying quality and continuous improvement tools such as SPC, FMEA, 5S and Root Cause Analysis.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager
* Support New Product Introduction activities, including testing requirements, FMEA reviews and production quality planning
* Establish and maintain supplier quality requirements.
* Manage supplier audits, approvals and performance monitoring programmes.
* Support the resolution of supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
* Lead customer quality audits and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Manage and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
* Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain third-party accreditations.
* Develop, review and maintain quality procedures, standards and specifications.
* Ensure quality requirements are understood and applied throughout the business.
* Lead investigations into non-conformances, concessions, rework and scrap reduction initiatives.
* Monitor and analyse quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
* Utilise quality tools including SPC, FMEA, 5S and Root Cause Analysis.
