Quality Manager - Crewkerne
Permanent | Monday - Friday | £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Our client, a world-renowned designer and manufacturer of bespoke electrical goods for harsh environments, is seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to lead their Quality team in delivering exceptional standards of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality performance. In this role, you will also be responsible for implementing new quality standards and maintaining current certifications such as ISO9001, 14001, 45001, and Atex/IEC (phone number removed).
The Quality Manager position is critical to the success of the business, and as such, the ideal candidate must possess the following requirements:
Prior experience in managing Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality, and Compliance is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this role is customer-facing.
The ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
Proficiency in problem-solving using LEAN techniques such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa to identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective/preventative actions.
Strong organisation and planning skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Demonstrable experience in successfully managing both internal and external ISO audits.
The following qualifications and knowledge would also be beneficial, but not essential:
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
Lead Auditor qualifications.
Knowledge of rigorous quality standards, such as aerospace, medical, and UL requirements.
Familiarity with the EU battery directive and new EU battery regulation.
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements.
