The Role

As Quality & Technical Manager, you will take full responsibility for food safety, compliance, and quality performance across site.

This is a hands-on, site-facing position - ideal for someone who enjoys being close to production, solving problems in real time, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all quality & technical systems across the site
Own and continuously improve:
HACCP plan
Quality Management System (QMS)
Internal audit programme
Product specifications, labelling & compliance
Supplier approval processes
Complaints & non-conformance systems
Act as the primary contact for customer audits and technical queries
Maintain a visible presence on the factory floor, working closely with production teams
Support new product development from a technical and compliance perspective
Play a key role in driving standards towards BRCGS accreditation
Contribute to wider business growth, with scope to progress into senior leadershipAbout You

You're a practical, proactive technical professional who enjoys taking ownership and making an impact.

You will bring:

Experience within food manufacturing (FMCG environment preferred)
Strong working knowledge of:
HACCP
QMS
Food safety and compliance standards
Exposure to BRCGS, SALSA, or similar audit frameworks
Confidence working with customers, auditors, and suppliers
High attention to detail, particularly in specifications, labelling, and documentation
A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across teamsWhy This Role?
