Description:

Rhino Recruitment is excited to partner with a major company in South Wales that is looking for a Quality Manager who monitors and validates the conformity of products/processes in production.  The Quality Manager is the customer interface for quality matters and ensures that the Quality System is respected, coaching site managers to achieve customer satisfaction for quality.

Main Responsibilities 

Must have working experience with ISO9001.

Understanding and working with IATF16949

Drive and support improvement and efficiency initiatives to reduce process variation, and reduce/eliminate the cause of defects

Analyze data utilizing statistical tools and techniques in support of rationale and sampling plans

Provide Quality support for Infrastructure changes

Support transfer activities including new equipment qualification

Provide support to Calibration, Metrology, and Preventative Maintenance Systems

Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.

Responsible for audits

Responsible for reporting on the effectiveness and performance of the quality management systems

Manage Physical Indicators on site

Develop and coordinate the site Quality Improvement plan following guidelines from Business Unit and promote Quality Culture.

Implement and monitor QRQC in the site – FULL TRAINING TO BE GIVEN

Manage quality network on site

Audit the Quality System periodically (internal and support of Customer Audit)

For modifications, ensure the respect of the 4M procedure.

Represent Customer within Sogefi on quality matters (communication/ escalation)

Manage incidents (Customer Line Returns – Logistic) internally and with customer

Education & Qualifications

Either an Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality Degree

Proven experience at senior level, preferably in the automotive environment.

Functional knowledge and skills

Proven ability of managing quality tools and systems (eg PFMEA; Control Plant; SQA etc)

Strong experience of Process Improvement methodologies

Ability to interpret and understand complicated legislation and processes

Computer literate with good ability in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Good understanding of TS16949 Quality Systems

Working experience with ISO 9001

Excellent communication skills at all levels including presentation skills, active listening etc

Be dedicated and self-directed

Ability to teach and influence others

Possess a positive customer service attitude
