Belcan are working with a leading aerospace client who have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Quality Team as a Quality Lineside Engineer in Broughton.

This is a 12-month contract offering £30.10 per hour Umbrella + 20% shift uplift.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be supporting the evaluation, coordination and monitoring of achieved levels of conformity in the product, process and services provided by the Business.

Shift Pattern:

Double day shift pattern (alternating weeks)

Week of mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm

Week of afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm

Entitled to paid overtime over 35 hours at a premium rate - 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quality Lineside Engineer, you will perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB's, NC's) to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventative action is taken.

You will provide specialist Quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, and to independently assure that Quality requirements have been met.

Assures that the Quality system is being adhered to within the business by the business through surveillance activities.
Assures that certification processes are consistently defined and applied within the business.
To conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities, informing the accountable function, and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.

Required Skillset:

To succeed in this position, you must have the ability to interpret drawings and be able to problem solve and use associated problem-solving tool sets (PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa etc).

Good interpersonal skills - ability to challenge appropriately whilst maintaining strong relationships.
Data analysis skills - interpret data sets, graphical data and draw conclusions.
Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross functional team members
Quality or engineering based background within a major manufacturing industry.
