We are looking for an enthusiastic Works Quality Inspector to work on the Old Oak Common Station and support the Quality team in ensuring quality is given the highest priority in the delivery of the works to achieve Right First Time.

The Works Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting inspection on construction works, conducting off-site audit/surveillances during manufacturing works and for providing specialist on-site support to the subcontractors and Delivery Team.

What you'll be doing

Some key responsibilities will be:

Communicate with delivery team and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of quality assurance requirements.

Be proactive in preventing substandard works being produced by coaching and providing support to the Subcontractors, the Delivery and Quality teams.

Ensure that inspections and tests are carried out in line with the inspection and test plans and that all necessary documentation is produced in a timely manner.

Monitor the quality of materials via goods inwards inspections

To be the arbiter between all parties on any quality related issues.

Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the Work Information and relevant Detail Design.

Communicate to the Quality Managers, Quality Engineers and Senior Quality Inspectors any non-conformances or any other issues identified on site.

Raise and capture any Quality focused Lessons learned and communicate them to the Quality and Delivery Teams, including the Supply Chain

Who we're looking for

What we are looking for:

Relevant site supervisory experience (Foreman, Site Supervisor, works Manager, Site Agent, etc.) on civil engineering projects. Or Quality/ Works Inspector experience from a previous civil engineering project.

Extensive experience onsite inspections against an approved Detail Design and onsite NCR management.

Ability to build strong relationships with the site operatives, project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function

Technical knowledge and experience relevant to one of the following area: FRC works, structural steel, fit-out, MEPH
