QUALITY INSPECTOR
Location: Kirk Langley, Derbyshire
Position: Quality Inspector
Salary: £29,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a very reputable precision engineering company based in Kirk Langley, Derbyshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Quality Inspector with a strong engineering background to secure a permanent position within a precision manufacturing environment.

Working Hours:

* Monday to Thursday:

07:00 – 16:00 (30

-minute lunch break)

* Friday:

07:00 – 12:00

* Early finish every Friday

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision-engineered components

* Using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications

* Ensuring manufactured components meet required quality standards and tolerances

* Identifying and reporting non-conforming components

* Completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality records

* Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues

* Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high manufacturing standards

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a Quality Inspector role within precision engineering or manufacturing

* Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings

* Experience using precision measuring equipment

* Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality control procedures

* Experience with CMM inspection would be advantageous

* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary & Benefits:

* £29,000 per annum

* Permanent, full-time employment

* 31 days' annual leave, including bank holidays

* Legal & General pension scheme, subject to eligibility

* Day shifts with an early finish on Fridays

Additional Information:

The successful candidate will be subject to a six-month probationary period.

Employment will be conditional upon satisfactory references and verification of the right to work in the UK.
