Position: Quality Inspector (Sheet Metal & Precision Engineering)
Location: Reading
Salary: Circa £32k DOE (reviewed after 6 months)
Hours: 4 day week: Monday - Thursday (07:00 - 16:45)
Bennett & Game Recruitment are currently working with a respected Sheet Metal and Precision Engineering business seeking a Quality Inspector to join their Reading based team.
This role would suit an experienced inspector with knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined components. Aerospace experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Quality Inspector Position Overview
Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications.
Use a range of measuring equipment to verify product quality.
Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
Support production teams in maintaining quality standards.
Assist with non-conformance investigations when required.
Quality Inspector Position Requirements
Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar position.
Knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined part inspection.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience producing FAIR documentation.
Good computer literacy skills.
CMM knowledge would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
Quality Inspector Position Remuneration
Salary circa £32,000.
Six-month salary review.
Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:45.
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
