Quality Inspector | Harlow | 38 hours per week - Monday to Thursday, 7am - 5pm | £32,000 to £40,000 depending on experience and/or skills

Our client is a leading gear manufacturer and supplier specialising in the production of transmission components tailored to their customer’s unique requirements. Serving a diverse range of industries, they proudly supply gears to both the UK and international markets.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for maintaining our client’s high-quality standards by approving incoming materials, monitoring in-process production, and inspecting finished products.

Are you the right person for the job?

Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in a machining environment with CNC and manual machining
Ability to work with the ISO 9001 quality system
Proficient in CMM software and quality control techniques
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Experience with precision measuring equipment, such as micrometres, verniers, and height gauges
Ability to read manufacturing drawings with a clear understanding of GD&T symbols
Familiarity with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook)
What will your role look like?

Your key duties include:

Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications through visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Approving in-process production by conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating required adjustments to machinists
Preparing quality documentation for dispatch with finished products (PPAPs, ISIRs, etc.).
Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into our quality database
Ensuring inspection records meet ISO standards
Coordinating with colleagues regarding any quality issues
Keeping measurement equipment operating by following calibration procedures
Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications

You will  work from Monday to Thursday giving extended weekend breaks
25 days holiday (which equates to 190 hours per year)
