Contek Recruitment are working with a precision engineering client based in Basildon, who are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team. Our client supplies precision machined components from a new product introduction stage, through to volume production. Working in various sectors including Defence/Aerospace and Automotive (EV).
WORKING HOURS
Flexible Day shift position - 39hrs per week (8-3pm core hours)
Our client is actively recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join the team due to their substantial order book and acquisition of new company to their existing group.
Job duties, responsibilities, and accountabilities:
To inspect, record & report in accordance with Work Instructions. To inspect quality products in a safe and controlled manner, meeting all quality specifications whilst satisfying customer requirements, and in compliance with engineering drawings and associated specifications.Ensure that equipment is maintained, relevant records are up to date and that all processes work effectively to ensure that the business can fulfil its aims.
* Operation of a variety of Inspection equipment (Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers etc).
* CMM Programming and Operating - (Aberlink or Mitutuyo controls)
* Knowledge and understanding of GD&T, Surface Condition requirements and testing.
* Inspection and recording of all relevant dimensions.
* Carry out calibration of equipment.
* Create/amend reports (word/excel).
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Read and Interpret customer quality requirements.
* First Off Inspection.
* Completion of all documentation and record labour bookings.
* Contribute ideas to continuous improvement programs.
* Support the investigation of Non-conformities, Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Customer Complaints.
* Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded.
* Demonstrate knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100
* Follow all Company policies and procedures
