Inspector (Day Shift & Night Shift Opportunities)

Contract Type: Contract or Permanent
Location: Leamington Spa (On-site)

Salary:

Day Shift:
Contractor: £15.68 - £16.68 per hour
Permanent: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum plus benefits
Night Shift (Monday - Thursday):
Contractor: £20.02 per hour (inclusive of 20% shift allowance)
Permanent: £39,000 - £40,500 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance) plus benefits

The Role

Due to increased demand and ongoing growth, we are seeking skilled Inspectors to join a high-performing manufacturing team. Opportunities are available on both day and night shifts.

Working within a small, collaborative team, you will be responsible for inspecting high-quality transmission and precision-engineered components, ensuring they meet exacting quality standards and are delivered right first time.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the successful delivery of customer projects.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect components against engineering drawings, specifications and route cards.
Verify dimensional and geometric tolerances using a range of manual inspection equipment.
Complete detailed table inspections to ensure compliance with drawing and planning requirements.
Maintain quality standards while working within production timescales.
Support manufacturing teams with quality-related issues and continuous improvement activities.
Assist other areas of manufacturing when business needs require.
Work flexibly to support delivery targets, including additional hours where required.

Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Proven experience inspecting precision-engineered components.
Experience using manual measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and related inspection tools.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and planning route cards accurately.
Experience carrying out detailed bench or table inspection activities.
CMM programming experience would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Mitutoyo software would be beneficial.
Proactive problem-solving approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
