Up to £14.50 per hour

Overview

Our client is seeking a Quality Inspector / Trainee Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with quality inspection experience or someone looking to develop a career within quality, in a production environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that products meet the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming materials through to finished goods.

What’s on offer:

Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
£14.00 – £14.50 per hour
(Salary is negotiable and will be dependent on experience and relevant skills.)

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Carry out dimensional inspections using a range of measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Perform visual and functional inspections to identify defects, non-conformances, or quality concerns.
Accurately complete and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
Record and report non-conformances (NCRs) in line with company procedures.
Maintain quality records, traceability documentation, and inspection data.
Support continuous adherence to quality standards across the shop floor.
Work closely with production teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Follow company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements at all times.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM machinery.
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection activities.
Ability to accurately complete reports and quality records.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
