Quality Inspector

Description:

Mpeople have a fantastic opportunity for Quality Inspector to join the expanding team of Heat Treatment department of our well-established client based in the Tameside area. This position will work on a full time, permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, successful candidates will undergo 3 years of references and a DBS check.

* Role: Heat Treatment Quality Inspector

* Location: Dukinfield

* Salary: £16.41

* Hours: 8am to 5pm, with an early finish on Fridays.

Duties as Heat Treatment Quality Inspector will include but not be limited to:

· Carrying out audits against NADCAP pre-audit check sheets, ensuring compliance ahead of audits

· Identifying issues and implementing corrective actions

· Overseeing aluminium heat treatment

· Material testing processes and compliance

· Using WTL/AOG tracker to ensure the process of parts is on time

· Ensuring all parts are processed or tested correctly

· Maintain training records, ensuring they are kept up to date

· Create and maintain SOPs for each process

· Working with the Quality Engineer to ensure all plant and testing equipment remains calibrated

· Oversee weekly TUS/SAT checks

· Sign off 5S checks

· Schedule regular plant cleaning

· Provide employee training and inductions for new employees

· Update and maintain training records and identify when training is required

The successful Heat Treatment Quality Inspector will possess the following skills:

· Experience with Heat Treatment is essential, ideally NADCAP

· Experience working with OEM or Tier 1 companies is ideal

· Ability to understand technical drawings

· Knowledge of sheet metal process
