Quality Engineers – Medical Engineering
Leeds and Rotherham areas
Full-time | Permanent
We are recruiting two Quality Engineers to join successful, growing precision engineering businesses in West and South Yorkshire.
Both companies have established reputations for producing high-quality precision-engineered components for demanding sectors, including the medical industry. These are excellent opportunities for Quality Engineers who enjoy being close to manufacturing and want to play a visible, hands-on role within a smaller, growing engineering environment.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll have exposure to a broad range of quality activities, helping to maintain high standards, resolve manufacturing and supplier issues, support customers and identify opportunities to improve processes.
The Role
These are varied Quality Engineering positions which, depending on the site you join, could include:
* Investigating quality issues and helping to identify effective corrective actions
* Supporting manufacturing teams with day-to-day quality requirements
* Working with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns
* Supporting and improving Quality Management Systems and associated documentation
* Reviewing customer requirements and helping ensure they are translated effectively into manufacturing and inspection processes
* Supporting internal and external audits
* Contributing to risk assessments and quality planning
* Developing and improving inspection methods and quality controls
* Monitoring quality performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
* Supporting new products, validation and other quality-related projects
* Working collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing and quality to improve processes and prevent recurring problems
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of areas that match your existing strengths while developing your knowledge and experience across the wider quality function.
About You
We're interested in speaking with people who have Quality Engineering or closely related experience within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
We’re looking for a good understanding of precision manufacturing quality, an analytical approach to problem solving and the confidence to work with colleagues across different areas of a business.
