Technical Quality Engineer - £35k

Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting a Quality Engineer on behalf of our client based in Sheffield.

Duties:

* Develop and maintain our internal testing procedures, ensure we are investigating, resolving and closing issues satisfactorily.

* Provide technical support and field technical queries from customers, distributors, and colleagues, by phone, email and/or face to face, with any of our electronic product/queries that have been raised.

* Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process in the development of new products.

* Run pre-programmed furnace tests. Set up and supervise furnace during testing. Fire Warden training will be given.

* Support the effective problem solving of design issues/development.

* Work with internal departments e.g. (Technical, Sales, Manufacturing, Contracts, Finance) to develop and maintain efficient company procedures.

* Work with suppliers and contractors to develop and maintain best practice test procedures.

* Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) — Customer returns, fault diagnostics, cause, and effects with liability.

* Create electrical drawings and site wiring diagrams and provide support to customers and colleagues in the technical department.

* Provide administrative and quality assurance assistance to the Quality Health & Safety Manager (QH&SM).

* Support internal and external auditing.

Requirements:

* Experience in a similar role

* Experience in PCB manufacturing is advantageous

Desirable Attributes:

* An understanding of analogue and digital circuits

* Use of equipment — Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Power supplies etc

* Strong communication skills

* Organisational skills

* Working knowledge of IT skills — particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook

* Experience of working with Industrial standards and Directives

* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timescales

* Understanding of GD&T and BS 8888

Monday to Friday

08:30-17:00 with an early finish Friday
