Quality Engineer – HS2 – Greatworth
Location: Greatworth, Northamptonshire
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Package + Subsistance
Job Type: Permanent
We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join a major civil engineering contractor working on HS2 in the Greatworth area.
This is a cracking opportunity to get involved in one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, working alongside an experienced delivery team on some serious heavy civils and infrastructure works.
You'll be working closely with the site teams, making sure works are delivered to the required quality standards, with the right inspections, records and procedures in place.
The Role:

Carry out quality inspections across civil engineering works.

Ensure works are delivered in line with specifications, drawings and project requirements.
*
Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and associated quality documentation.
*
Identify, raise and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs).
*
Work closely with engineers, site management and subcontractors.
*
Support internal and external quality audits.
*
Maintain quality records and assist with handover documentation.
*
Help drive quality standards across the project.
What We're Looking For:
*
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within civil engineering.
*
Background in heavy civils, infrastructure, highways or major construction projects.
*
Good understanding of ITPs, NCRs and quality management systems.
*
Knowledge of ISO 9001 would be beneficial.
*
Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach.
*
Comfortable working with site teams and challenging issues when needed.
