Quality Engineer - Electronics

Proactive and detail-focused Quality Engineer to join an established quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quality background who enjoys problem-solving, data analysis and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards and internal quality requirements.
Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies and identify opportunities to improve measurement processes and product quality control.
Carry out microsection and cross-section analysis to validate product conformity and support PPAP, FAIR and ISR requirements.
Complete quality testing activities in line with QMS schedules and reporting requirements.
Investigate customer and internal quality concerns, supporting containment activities, root cause analysis and 8D problem-solving processes.
Assess and validate customer returns against IPC standards.
Create, maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures and work instructions.
Analyse quality data and provide reports to support improvement initiatives.
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Assist with specialised product testing and laboratory-based evaluations.
Work collaboratively with manufacturing, technical, sales and dispatch teams to resolve quality and delivery-related issues.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

About You

Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Technician or Quality Assurance role within ideally electronics manufacturing.
Knowledge of MSA, PPAP, FAIR, ISR and 8D methodologies.
Experience of quality inspection, testing and root cause investigation.
Ability to analyse data and produce clear, accurate reports.
Strong document control and technical writing skills.
Familiarity with IPC standards would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
