Quality Engineer
£40,000–£45,000 | Cambridge | Onsite
My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing manufacturing team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems for high-precision products used across the communications, defence, space and transportation sectors.
The Role
* Manage and improve quality management systems and processes
* Lead non-conformance investigations, change control and corrective actions
* Conduct internal ISO9001 and ISO27001 audits
* Analyse manufacturing data to drive continuous improvement
* Support new product introduction (NPI) and Lean manufacturing initiatives
* Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality, yield and efficiency.
What They're Looking For
* Experience in a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing quality role
* Knowledge of ISO9001 (ISO27001 and Internal Auditor certification desirable)
* Experience with RCCA, 8D, FMEA and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP
* Understanding of RoHS, REACH and SCIP regulations
* Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
* Experience working within a Lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
